Dear Mr Jones

I am writing in relation to your recent correspondence outlining your request for audit coverage of the Community Development Grants program.

As advised in my earlier letter, I have considered your request in the context of the development of the Australian National Audit Office’s Annual Audit Work Program for 2017–18. On the basis of this consideration, a potential performance audit topic has been included on the program titled Administration of the Community Development Grants program.

The program is available from the ANAO’s website at https://www.anao.gov.au/work-program.

It should be noted that the composition of the program may change as more detailed planning is undertaken or as other issues emerge or priorities are identified over the course of the year.

Yours sincerely

Grant Hehir
Auditor-General

Dear Mr Jones

I am writing in response to your letter dated 15 May 2017 requesting that the Auditor-General undertake an audit of the Community Grants Development Program, which is administered by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

The Auditor-General will consider including an audit of the Community Grants Development Program in the Australian National Audit Office's (ANAO's) Annual Audit Work Program 2017. The ANAO is currently finalising its work program, which is designed to inform the Parliament, the public and government entities of planned audit coverage for the coming year. The program is to be published in July 2017.

Yours sincerely

Rona Mellor PSM
Acting Auditor-General
