Dear Mr Dreyfus

I am writing in response to your letter of 4 November 2016 regarding Apprenticeship Training Alternative Delivery Pilots.

The Auditor-General has decided to conduct an audit of the Department of Education and Training's establishment of the Apprenticeship Training Alternative Delivery Pilots program.

The objective of the audit is to assess the effectiveness of the department's establishment of the program. To form a conclusion against the audit objective, the ANAO will examine whether the department established the program in accordance with the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines.

The report is expected to be tabled by April 2017.

Yours sincerely
