About Us

The objective of this audit is to assess the effectiveness of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’s (DCCEEW) procurement of strategic water to meet the Bridge the Gap target under the Murray–Darling Basin Plan.

Audit criteria

The ANAO proposes to examine: 

  • Did DCCEEW establish appropriate arrangements to support strategic water procurement?
  • Did DCCEEW conduct an effective procurement process to achieve value for money?
