The objective of this audit is to assess the effectiveness of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s (PM&C’s) administration of the Impact Analysis (IA) framework.

Audit criteria

The ANAO proposes to examine: 

  • Are PM&C’s governance arrangements for the IA framework fit for purpose?
  • Is the IA framework implemented effectively?
  • Has PM&C been an effective custodian of the IA framework?
