Mr Grant Hehir

Auditor-General

Australian National Audit Office

38 Sydney Avenue

FORREST ACT 2603

Dear Mr Hehir

Thank you for choosing to audit the NDRRA and DRFA funding in Queensland in response to my request.

I note that submissions for your consideration closed at the end of October this year.

I am aware that several substantial submissions were sent to you, however we have been advised that those persons who submitted material have not yet been informed that their submissions have been received.

Those submissions were sent by registered mail before the closing date, as the submission portal of your Office was not able to cope with the level of material available.

I presume it is your intention and office protocol to send acknowledgements of receipt to those who submitted material for consideration by your audit team.

The people who submitted material for the audit are looking forward to being contacted by your team, as there is much more material available for consideration through personal interview and other means of revealing the evidence alluded to in the submissions.

I remain in close contact with some of those concerned constituents who wish to come forward to provide evidence and testimony as to the alleged misuse of Commonwealth disaster relief funds.

I remain interested in this area and look forward to reading the review and its recommendations on completion of your audit.

Yours sincerely

Malcolm Roberts

Senator for Queensland
